Forge works with the Essence Vol. I & II textures, but has to be coaxed into
accepting Imagine's.
Forge's main advantage is that it is very easy to create texture
animations ( start<->end ) because it has an animation preview window.

Isn't texture studio disabled on certain aspects untill you send in a
shareware registration fee? I downloaded it from the Aminet got the
impression it was only a partical package deal (like Impulse's IFW
demo).

When Texture Studio was first released I paid a registration fee for
the full version, but that was some years ago. Any registration info
should be supplied in a text file with the program.

The Aminet demo lets you modify only the first 8 values on any texture.
It is otherwise functional though. The word is that CUAmiga released the
full version some time ago on one of their issues. I missed it
unfortuantely. The nice thing about Texture studio is that it loads both
the Imagine and Essence textures. No animation support that I know of
though. Check out Andy Deans site http://www.ajdean.demon.co.uk/
